was just wandering why people put oats in their shakes?what are the benefits of oats?
 
They are a great source of complex carbs. They have lots of fiber, a bit of protien, and they are extra calories too 1 cup = 300 calories. Also they are just all around healthy

any other way of bumping up the fibre in shakes?
 
I use them to bump up the calories in shakes.

I take a couple of meal replacement type shakes a day with oats, eggs, milk, whey, yogurt which comes out to just over 900 calories each.
