whats the best remedy for sore shoulder after bench press?

if i use barbell shoulder strains if i use dumbells my shoulder is ok

i can do flyes ok but just when i do bench press with a barbell i get sharpe pains in one shoulder?

any help or ideas would be appreciated?

you're arms are probably perpendicular to your body, tuck your elbows at the bottom

i suppose the first thing to do is lay off the barbell press for awhile and give your shoulder time to heal , if the problem persist see a doctor

ok thanks ill give it a go and see how i pull up thanks again

i actually have this same problem, right arm socket kind clicks/sharp pain but my left is fine, this is benching 50kg on the smith machine.. but when doing barbell press theres no problem, but signifagantly less weight 17.5kg dumbells.. i am 68kg..

i'm not a doctor just going by some common injuries that occur
could be Impingement syndrome
Impingement syndrome occurs when tendons of the rotator cuff and the subacromial bursa (a fluid-filled sac that separates the bones of the shoulder joint) are compressed between the bones of the shoulder.

Pain is the body's way of letting you know something's wrong, listen to it.
you should seek medical assistance
