hi just a quick question. i need to bleed my brakes, and i was in supercheap auto today and picked up some dot 4 fluid that is used in car brakes, and i was wondering if this would be alright to use as opposed to the bike specific stuff. i know my bike currently has dot 4 in it and i think that i will have to drain all the old fluid out first.

DOT 4 fluid is dot 4 fluid no difference between cars or bikes

Don't drain it all.It will be a pain to bleed it then.Just empty the reservoir, fill it with new fluid then bleed the new fluid though.

you'll know when the new fluids coming thru, cause it'll be a different colour to the old
