You pick what you want and in 12 weeks we see how you did. I'm training primarily for strength and a bit of weight gain at the moment so i will probably make mine scrawn to brawn. If you are trying to be less fat maybe go with body recomp or dough to bro.

I want to do push ups and sit ups as part of my routine because it's exercises i have done a lot of in the past. The downside is that the lower back also needs a good workout.

And we are not posting photos yet because there are rules as to the before photo: competitor has to hold the daily newspaper, or a particular type of object as set by whoever is running the comp

I would be interested, however training will be taking a back seat to life, moving house, changing jobs, building a gym and having to do a million other things 2017 will be a very very busy year for me as is.

I will still be training, but more so to maintain what I have rather than make any major changes to myself.

There are many health benefits to some exposure to sun such as helping the body create vitamin D which is essential for bone health, healthy immune system, protects against dementia and brain aging, and its good for losing fat. If you do it enough you do eventually really learnt to love running, well that was my experience anyway. I especially loved running very early morning before the world had woken up yet. There is something very calming to running in the dark with just the sound of your footfall and breathing to keep you company. However if you dont running consistently then running just hurts !!

I played footy. I hated running from start to finish hahaha.

I only ran because i had to. It didnt hurt, i just hated it. [emoji14]

These days id prefer a rower or something for conditioning.
Thouhj im pretty fit just from weights somehow haha.

I am guessing most of the training was fast interval type runs which tend to make you hate your life, big time.
I played football (soccer) all through school and hated running too. We would do those fken shuttle run things to the 6 yard line and back, then to the 18 yard and back, then to half way line etc etc etc. We would also do runs up the hill at the back of the pitch carrying a team mate. I was the smallest guy on the team and always ended up carry some fat fk up and down.

In fact now I come to think of it, you are right, running sucks !

Its only a week in but how is everyone going?

I feel like I had a good week with regards to training but dont even talk to me about the diet. I definitely hit my protein each day last week which is good but the with hot summer weather and mum and dad staying I still drank too many beers and ate some poor food choices. I was however much better than I expected to be, there were many times when I could have drank a lot more and didn't or days where I had a drink and would usually smash some chips or nuts but didn't. Having this transformation in the back of my mind is definitely helping to keep me accountable for my choices.

Eating less. Literally all im doing. Been moving more too though. But not massive changes. Walking most rest days with the fam. Walking everyday at lunch for 15 minutes minimum.

Training is unchanged.

To be honest, it doesnt take alot of effort to lose a bit of excess bodyfat. Small changes at the beginning are best. Get used to them, then add something else small to that again.

Still rocking steady here. No issues with recovery, sitting on 2500 average calories. Down to 101.5 (average for the last 7 days). 3kg down since xmas.

Sure no problem mate.

Went a little over in protein today....but was under yesterday. All balances out. The main thing currently is to nail the weekly average.

Today ive had 3 meals. Im pretty time pressed so this works for me.

Meals 1 and 2 were the same, except i had 60g of avocado with the first one.

Chicken 225gm.
250gm of green frozen veg.
60gm of red kidney beans.
60gm of long grain white rice.
A tonne of pepper and paprika.

Then dinner was served up by epic wife:

Chilli con carne flavour sachet.
200gm of coles 4 star mince.
96gm of red kidney beans.
125gm of rice.

Got a few calories left over, so ill probably have a small bowl of nutrigrain later. [emoji14]
And maybe a zooper dooper.

Mine hasn't been good this week as I am on holiday, but one week won't make that much difference, I'll just come back harder next week. The strange thing is that on holiday improbably eat less and move more so weight will probably drop. That's the joy of having 3 young kids who are on the go from 5:30am every day !!!

I'm happy with where I am at but noticing the waist thickening a little now so its time to cut out the beer and slowly bring it back down again. First workout back tonight is squat and bench which I am looking forward to big time.

If you venture out of the tacky holiday towns the country, culture and culinary delights are all good. Bali isn't all Kuta and Aussie bogans....if you actually spend a bit of money and venture out of the areas that Aussies have ruined you'll eat meals better than the best restaurants in Australia for half the price (most of the chefs and produce are from here after all) and stay in 5 star luxury for 1/4 of the price compared to holidaying locally.
