so you when youre rolling into a dj to actually go airborn do you pull up on the front handlebar like youre popping a wheely or should u be rolling fast enough into the hill that the intertia launches you? btw, anyone know of a good dirtjump or freeride faq or similiar website?

if you pull up you will scare your self as you will feel like your goin to die. there is a reason why MTB have suspension forks. you preload them. generally you should be rolling into the jump fast enough for the fork to compress itself, and then as you go airbourne the fork will seemingly sring you up.

In general i'd say you get big air off inertia(also known as going fast and having the balls not to hit the brakes or bail)I guess you don't ride a MTB like a BMX now that i think of it.
