Mole Removal

Anyone know how they remove moles these days? Knife or freeze them off?
I want to remove some for vanity without the big scars!

I just had one done with liquid nitrogen at the doctors on Wednesday
Now waiting for it to drop off.

Did they take a piece at all? Was it changing?

Mine aren't changing unless you count a 10 year progression....

The doc checked it under a magnifying glass, the colouring and edges of the mole were even so it wasn't cancerous or anything.
It appeared only a year ago out of nowhere on my right temple so I thought I should get it checked and removed since it was in such a prominent location.

Grr I've had all mine for years now I'd like to see them go.
Did you go to your normal GP or a skin specialist?

Had them both cut out and frozen off.

One on my back the Dr screwed up and cut horizontally not vertically.
The stitches kept pulling out.

Have a few more to get removed -one on thigh, one on calf, and one on back

So far all removed by GP's

I've got one in the centre of my chest in my V area. And all of the professional photos we had done on the cruise show this particular mole, I'm going to get them photo shopped before they get enlarged, I have them mostly on my shoulders and centre back, a couple on my throat and one on my face. My last 2 were cut out years back.

It was just a regular GP
I can't remember what type of mole it was but it was one that develops on the surface of the skin therefore it only needed to be burnt off and not cut out thank goodness.
It's gone much darker now since having the liquid nitrogen applied and was told it'll eventually just dry up and fall off.

A friend had one frozen, but it was a raised one like a skin tag, hers went black after being frozen and fell off in the shower then had a little scab for a few more days.

It just depends on the GP, many these days would rather send you to a specialist to get removed.
With everything being so specialised these days many GPs are pretty much useless now and are only there to write prescriptions or referrals

That's good to hear, mine is about 5mm in diameter and is getting pretty dark now.

I used to work for a gp and she had a medical laser and I helped her remove moles it was insane it would zap the mole and after two five minute session it was gone
