Hey guys, sorry if this has been done to death:

I'm a 20 year old looking to really work out properly. I've been to a few gyms in the past two years and know a little bit about it, but my results are pretty sad to be honest!

I live in Mitchelton, Brisbane and I'm looking for a gym that has a good attitude and will actually help me to push myself - most commercial gyms I've been to are full of w@nkers looking in the mirror and don't care too much about the people who go there.

I'd really like to compete in shows, but that's a long way off!

So does anyone have any advice as to where I can go that's relatively close, has a good attitude and will help any aspiring lifters (of any level)?

Cheers, Lettsy

I own a gym in northgate mate, we have a few lifters that come out from Mitchelton/milton/ennogra ect.

Our website is www.ptcbrisbane.com and your more than welcome to check out our FB page ect :)

I should state that I think Strength Sports Gym is pretty much all Powerlifting Australia members.
not sure if they are a "anyone can train" gym, where as PTC Brisbane is open for all that want to improve themselves in anyway... be it bigger/stronger/faster/leaner/fitter etc.

If you can drive further than PTC is brilliant.
I suggested SSG purely for the fact that it is close to you.

SSG is open to anyone, its just got a PA powerlifting team operating out of it as well.

There are no PA only gyms in QLD.
