Deep tissue Massage, or Bowen treatment

I have been having issues with a very sore foot for about a year now, past few days its been extremely sore 6.5/10 pain wise all day long. starting from injuries i did a few years ago, a lot of tension and scar tissue in my foot, ive been to countless physios and had a lot of deep muscle massage done on legs, back, feet and so on.. deep tissue is good but generally i dont feel any relief in my foot or anything.. HOWEVER

yesterday the massage dude told me of a type of massage called Bowen, some aussie dude back in 70's/80's developed this technique. anyway had a good hour session of it.. its very comfortable, doesnt hurt at all and its amazing what it does, for example from a few touches and pushes on quads, my legs went through cold and heat flushes within 5 minutes of a 30 second quad movement... it was wierd.. muscles twitch by themselves, hot. cold, pins and needles, lots of funky stuff goes on...

Today.... day after massage,,, ZERO foot pain for alll the morning,, right now i can slowly feel my foot a tiny bit but the pain is barely noticeable, ive never had this effect so quickly from remedial massage. ill go get another one in the next 5 days or so as a second treatment..

the guy couldnt explain much how it works, he just knows how to do it and that it does work.. anyone else had bowen therapy done?

Bowen is actually a pain relief type of massage.
I do not know about it much. But i have read that it is effective and worth trying if you got some inner tissues damage.

Sounds like it plays upon nerves higher up the chain to alleviate pain. All those sensations are what can occur when playing with nerves or when you have a nerve issue.

dont know what it does but it works.. foot has been relatively pain free since the therapy. very happy with result
