Age - 35
Height - 171CM
Weight - 70kg
BF - 22%
Waist measurement - 33inches

My goal will be to get down to about 12% body fat
(exposing my abs!!).

After which I'd want to pack on a few kilos of Muscle.
I think 75Kg would be my ideal as at 12% BF I'd look
like a monster if I'm 75Kgs...

IMO - u need more LBM before exposing any abs. If u diet now you are going to be 60kg and just skinny. Your muscle maturity is not quite there yet.

Just eat and lift heavy (compounds)
get to around 80kg then see what your BF % is and see if your ready to diet.

You are the same height/weight and age as me.
In my avatar pic i am 72kg at 8% BF if u need to see roughly what u will look like by the end of this challenge.

Yea you look awesome there mate. I dunno but
I can't seem to 'pop' any muscles~!

So I was thinking to cut the fat first and then put the
muscle!!????

Either way, I think my diet was really crap last year
hence I could lift more than I ever could but no definition.
But eating makes me sweat like I'm squatting 100KG - it's
hard work.

I really was shocked at my pics. Especially the one from
behind. I didn't think I looked that bad. Oh well I'll
use that as motivation :p.

Anyway I'm going to try some of the eating techniques
from the 4 Hour Body starting next week and Fadi's beginner
weights program.

its always better to be in a calorie surplus as this keeps your body anabolic. (Just dont go too crazy on the calories. makes cutting so much harder)


Then just do a cut later when u think there is enough LBM. (LBM is obtained by lifting heavy things)

The dark horse of the field (couldn't resist), this old campaigner has been running around the country tracks of late with not much success. Owners now putting him in the right experienced hands, and could surprise if he can pull out all the stops. Not the tallest runner here, but that's never stopped the true champions.

I work the less it feels like I'm getting anywhere... let
alone to 10% body fat!!! :mad:

I'm miserably failing at my eating regime. WTF is going on?

Anyway, that's my progression so far.

Also when does this comp end? I may have lost before
starting!!!

tsk tsk tsk such negative self talk my friend! I'm amazed!

First of all, focus on what your goal is.
Second of all, if you want to get 'down' to 10% body fat, it is all about your diet my friend. No magic unicorn is going to fall out of the sky and wave it's tail over your body lol It's up to you.

You can't eat copious amounts of shit and continue lifting and expect to drop weight. You won't.

Clean up that diet. Pronto!

I have absolute faith you can do this, but you need to commit Devante. Is it what you want? Maybe you're aiming for too much? Why don't you break it down into short term increments of fat loss first?

How much fat would you like to lose?
I'm not in the comp, but I had over 90kg's to lose when I started my journey, to think of that was defeating in and of itself! So I thought only in 5kg increments. It was easy to focus, be consistent and see success that way.

Today, 14 months later, I've lost over 75kgs :)

Mentally, you need to get in the right space.

"Whether you think you can, or think you can't - you're probably right".

Your thoughts become your actions Devante!

No more negativity.

Focus.
Consistency.
Success.

Devante, I know your pain mate. I too have failed to drop any fat in the last 2 months because I have been stuffing my face. But don't stop trying, because a mistake is only a mistake if you never fix it, you WILL fix this mate and so will I.

Keep lifting, work on the diet, hang in there man

Ahh yes, but my goal is not strength, primarily it's weight loss ;)
