I discovered the VIPR the other day. Initially I thought it'd be a bit too....crossfit / pump class...but after a bit of thinking, it actually really appeals to me...

ViPR Australia

What is ViPR?
ViPR bridges the gap between movement and strength. It’s the ultimate functional, whole-body training tool, combining the programming of a traditional resistance workout together with the physical agility needed for an optimal sports or fitness performance, easily making the ViPR the most innovative fitness breakthrough in years.

ViPR can be used to achieve any fitness goal:
• Increase muscle strength
• Combine strength and movement training
• Improve balance and flexibility
• Increase strength and power
• Burn calories and reduce body fat

What are the benefits of training with ViPR?
ViPR uses the four pillars of human movement: gravity-into-ground loading, stretch-to-shorten, multi-directional movement, and using the entire body for movement.

Training with ViPR’s whole-body integration programming (WBI) allows the body to perform in a multi-directional fashion. ViPR allows movement to be loaded (variable load transfer), allowing a positive transfer into life’s activities and physical demands.

ViPR will allow you to get even more flexible with your workout: lift and carry it, drag or roll it, flip it, throw or even step on it – there are limitless ways to implement ViPR into your routine!

ViPR also integrates seamlessly with existing club tools, such as BOSU, TRX, benches, step and speed ladders, medicine balls ect. The special design enables it to be used inside and out – with elite athletes and beginners alike – and as an adjunct tool in a training session or all by itself. ViPR requires no maintenance and can be easily stored away.

What makes ViPR unique?
ViPR fuses the functionality of seven tools – barbell, dumbbell, Kettlebell, stability ball, medicine ball, balance devices and speed ladders – together, creating a huge “Swiss Army knife” programming potential. ViPR is made from a durable rubber compound, making it safer to use than steel free weights and easy to maintain and store. ViPR is available to use in seven weights ranging from 4kg to 20kg, so it’s suitable for everyone at any level of fitness.

If it ranged from 4kg to 200kg maybe . . .
Plus by the sounds of it you have to buy every weight up to there measly 20kg

It's a club ranging in weight between 4 and 20kg. It has very limited value compared to the dumbbells, kettlebells, sandbags, etc etc we already have available, not to speak of the things with heavier weights.

In any case the real issue is not the exact equipment people have, but that they actually use it - there's a reason most of this stuff is sold as "easy to store", because that's what's going to happen to it.

You don't need the right equipment to get more better faster stronger, you need the right attitude and the right knowledge - or coach, to give you that knowledge. The equipment you have is just a bonus. People in mainstream gyms have access to equipment costing something like 100 times as much as the equipment Markos had in his draughty garage, yet they do not achieve as much, still less 100 times as much.

I'm not saying it's 'better' than a kettle, sandbag, dumbbell or Ny other tool. It's just another good tool to have.

I didn't realize there were so many closed minds around here.....

spot on. i also laughed at the fact it goes all the way up to 20kg!!!

Kyle, oli and Jim have closed minds.

Why limit your mind. When you limit your mind, you limit your results....

You are just trollin' now right?

You said yourself its not better than a kettlebell or sandbag etc. So why should someone buy one?

You are saying its not better but still good to have.. why?

Lol.

You start a thread saying how good this VIPR is and you cant give us any reasons why you think it is good.

Instead you try to avoid the question and in the process make yourself sound like an idiot..
