DEXA scans - Where to get one in Perth?

Ok, after spending several days looking and not having any luck, I thought I'd check and see if anyone in here has been able to find a place in Perth that offers a DEXA scan.

Anyone had any luck??

Thanks mate, I had checked both of those but as you mentioned, they need a referral. Plus they are over $100.

There doesn't appear to be any place over here that performs DEXA scans for athletes wanting to find their bodyfat, at least not at a reasonable price. The radiology ones are more geared towards testing bone mineral density, as per the original intent of DEXA scans....

DEXA Scan

Is there a demand for DEXA scans in Perth if so how much would you willing to pay to get one done. How often would you want to scan yourself? Once every 6 months?

I am thinking about setting up an Exercise Physiology testing lab for the general public with gold standard research testing equipment including a DEXA machine.

No idea how much demand there is but there's close to nothing else available so may be some target market there.

The very few that are around require GP referral or cost a lot of money. Cut both of those out and you might be in business.

And yea, every 6-12 months to measure progress.
