will normal weight plates break if i 'crash' them a bit?

should i be worried about them breaking? I have normal rubber coated olympic plates.
 
yea best example i can find. won't be dropping them, just might be putting them down like that or a tad harder. no dropping from heights though.
 
I deadlift 220kg and pretty much slam it into the ground with rubber plates. You'll be right assuming you're not dropping them from overhead.
 
The flooring is probably the main issue with your plates but if it has a barrier (matting, platform etc) you should not do too much damage to the floor. I throw my hammertone standard plates around and they have not broken yet, and I literally mean throw across the yard they hit rocks and each other all the time.
