Hormone Blood Tests

Has anyone actually had their blood test done, to check for test/est etc.

I've seen fairly cheap saliva based ones in Aus, however is this a thing Medicare / Private Health Insurance would cover?

Alot of us have. Go to your GP and get bloods done properly. It's free in most cases.
 
If you have a good relationship with your GP, don't add 5378363 extra tests to their path request forms :D.
They will tell you to not return to the practice :p

Try serum instead of saliva...

Though if you are really interested in cortisol 4x saliva is the best way to go (dhea-s saliva is useless)..

But it all gives you some idea...
