What gym equipment do you own?

What brands?

What is your opinion of the item?

What equipment have you ever made?

Post up pics

I have a bit of gear.
After buying the obvious, 2 things I think are a must are power bands and a 64kg KB from Australian kettle bells.
Top gear and well priced.

Own:
- Muscle Motion Commercial Rack
- Muscle Motion Commercial Flat Bench
- ABC Powerlifting Bar
- 300kg of Avanti and gymandfitness plates

- Muscle Motion 40kg Rubber Adjustable Dumbbells
- Muscle Motion Tricep Bar (replacing for EZ Curl)
- Muscle Motion Close Grip Attachment

In the future I plan to ditch the latter 3, buy a set of kettlebells from gymdirect and bumpers from ABC. This will be a while though as I don't have the space for it in my current house.

Brands
- Muscle Motion
- Australian Barbell Co

Opinions
- I really like Muscle Motion stuff. Sometimes if wish they were designed closer to the powerlifting stuff that comes from Elitefts (closer pin spacing, wider benches) but for the price it doesnt leave me sleepless. This is high quality stuff.
- ABC are very pricey, particularly taking in postage from Melbourne, however they're high quality. I'd only buy bars and bumpers from them, anything else is too much $$$.
- Aussie Kettlebells are a company I'm yet to deal with (being based in Melbourne) but they seem to make some good stuff.

Equipment Made
- Dumbbell handles. Didn't turn out well.

Very happy with my equipment, looking forward to have it set up in the new house though, still about 5 months away from moving.

My only gripe is the knurling on the bar is quite smooth, I got used to the ABC bars at the gym before buying this, but it hasnt been an issue yet

This was my thread I made when I first got the equipment, mods maybe this can be moved into this new section

thats awesome, how much did you get the power rack for?

regards,
Nick

yep MM bar

cant remember exact price, was under 1300 delivered to perth, much cheaper that locally supplied

edit, bench bought second hand locally, tree from Rockingham fitness, rest from gym direct

Pictures of my setup can be found in this thread -> Stuff bought mostly from gym direct.

Pretty happy with what I got for the price. Fit and finish / tolerances could be better but overall very happy with the kit.

The commercial rack is very very handy :) I can do all of my exercises inside the rack apart from dead lifts.

i now have

1x mmpr
1 commercial muscle motion bench
150kg iron edge bumper plates , 120kg standard plates
also have a couple of standard bb's
1 x pendlay 20kg NG HD bushing barbell

Andy, where did you get the pipe from to make your farmer's walk implements?

Need some for a thick/fat bar and farmer's walkers of my own :)
