my bike came with 26 x 1.95 tires and that's what I've been getting ever since.

while i was up the shop getting a new rear tire and noticed that the trend is for larger ones, 2.00 upwards.

As I'm not expert in this, can someone tell me what the advantages are and if all wheels can handle a larger tires put on them.

Any help will be gratefully appreciated.

there isn't much different between the 2 sizes
you can still pick up the 1.95's
just remember that if you do decide to go for the larger to replace the tubes also otherwise the tyre wont feel right
