Apt physical training blog

  • None of what I or anyone else says about weight or cardio training is new and original.
  • Because we sit still at work, at home, at leisure, and in the journey in between, we have to stand up and move our bodies in the gym.
  • Train movements, not muscles. [thanks Dan John]
  • Consistent effort over time gets results.
  • If in every session you do more than you did before, you will get stronger, fitter, and your physique will change.
  • Strength and fitness are built in the gym, size at the dinner table. [thanks Markos]
  • Recovery depends on food and rest.

I really should update my certification.

First session: squats, pull tire.
Second session: presses, pull tire.
Third session: pulling, including tire.
Repeat ad nauseum...lots of nauseum.

Ryan

QLD

About Me:
My philosophy when it comes to training is that strength is the bottom line of fitness. That doesn't mean it's the only important variable, but you need to be able to produce force to build speed or endurance. Start simple, start light, develop correct movement patterns on the basic exercises (squats, pulls from the floor, pressing weights above the head, and bodyweight movements), and build up.

Qualifications:
Diploma of Fitness
Cert IV in Fitness
Cert III in Fitness
Pilates Matwork Instructor
PUNCH trainer

Areas that you specialise in :
Strength training for men and women
Metabolic conditioning
Body composition management
Postural correction
Musculoskeletal rehab
Moderate risk cardiovascular, pulmonary and metabolic conditions

Training Session Costs:
5-pack: $39.80/30min
10-pack: $37.50/30min
20-pack: $35/30min

Location you work at:
Goodlife Health Clubs: Edward St

Ryan, Dan John expresses something like your philosophy as "strength is the cup, everything else is what goes in it - if you only have a thimble, you can't fit much else in." That and "train movements and the muscles will follow."

thanks peeps , i will get around to creating a listing in the next couple of days , keep them coming peeps

That's a good way of putting it.

BTW Kyle, just thought I'd mention that I recognise you from various good posts on bb.com.
