ok guys.....the back of my head still throbs out of control while benching. anything up to 60kg is fine anything after that ouch!!

ok breathing , diet, form ect all fine. even went to the physioand apart from being a bit tensenothing seems to be the problem. every other lift no probs at all, just bench!!

any ideas?? im about at my witts end. brings me to my next question....what other lift can i do to compensate for not being able to lift heavier bench???

cheers

go to GP

he will probably refer you to get a CT scan
see if everything is all clear back there

nope ot as yet. it is my next call. i was hoping it would just sought itself out like most other little niggly things do. mabey ill just go!!

Just go and see the GP! I might close this thread until you do... incentive enough?

Seeing a GP is no substitute for vague internet advice.

Because it only happens while benching, maybe your bench is too hard.:D

Go to the GP mate.

obviously you havent looked at my log. i only do compounds. which does not require to pull any sort of bar down. im guessing your thinking of lat pull down...so NO!!

I agree 100% that you should seek medical advice, but as for other exercises have you tried push ups? (quite possibly weighted) the soreness may be because your laying on your back? if your on ur front does it do the same thing? (just trying to fault find, im a mechanic / PT to be lol)

haha, it was a shot at that kid in the benchpress video that was posted up a few days. just a little bit of light humour!

Same thing is happening to me but not doing benchpresses it's always while doing chinups its happened in my last 3sessions don't know why .I'll do like 15 or 20 chinups and towards the end of the reps I get this sharp pain in the back of my head almost like a cramp or somthing then a headache.

makes sure your not turning your head to the left or right while doing chins. and mabey because you can do so many with ease....try doing lower reps like 8 with a weighted plate or dumbell.
